Why Armoring?

Armoring is a vital skill in New World. It enables crafters to create light, medium, and heavy armor using both the outfitter station and the forge. In addition, it allows you to craft bombs that are useful in both PvP and PvE environments and bags that increase your carry weight and provide various perks. Therefore, leveling up your Armoring skill is essential if you want to progress in New World.

Tips to Make Leveling Armoring Easier

Before we start leveling up your Armoring, here are a few tips to make the process much easier:

  • Town board requisitions: These provide a considerable amount of experience for your Armoring trade skill with low resource requirements. Although you can only partially max out your trade skill with this method, it is still recommended to do them whenever possible.
  • Perfect salvage system: Always craft in sessions and break down the total of each tier into pieces. This way, you can utilize the potential scraps you receive from perfect salvages for a free experience.

Armoring Gearset Farm

In New World, If you're looking to farm the Armoring Gearset, there are a few things you need to know. First, the Tier 4 set can only be obtained through patterns found in Aptitude Crates. However, the Tier 5 set can still be farmed. Here's what you need to do:

  • Helm: Farm Leviathan of the Deep, found in Bootsy Superior in the Shattered Mountains.
  • Chest: Farm Siren's Guide, found in Four Castle Drift in Reekwater.
  • Gloves: Kill Siren's Fist, also found in Four Castle Drift in Reekwater.
  • Pants: Defeat the Siren's Gone, found in Four Castle Drift and Reekwater.
  • Boots: Farm Abiogenesis, found in Malevolence in Eden Grove.

Other Items Needed

In addition to these pieces of armor, you will need an earring with a +5 minimum armor and crafted item quality. These can be crafted using an Orcalcum Armor's Charm, which is cheap and can be purchased on the market. Add it as a desired mod when crafting your own Earring. It doesn't matter if the Earring is low-level, as long as it provides the +5 armor.

Trophies are also important. You will want to have three Major Armoring Trophies, one for each of your homes. While they don't increase your max potential roll in crafting, they do decrease your roll range, giving you a higher chance of rolling legendaries and a lower chance of rolling purples.

Lastly, make sure you have Spicy Cabbage Soup on hand when crafting. This will provide you with the needed +15 minimum gear score when crafting armoring items.

Conclusion:

With the recent changes in the crafting system in New World, leveling up your Armoring skill has become much easier and cheaper than before. By following the steps mentioned above, you can level up your Armoring from 0-200 quickly and efficiently. Remember to utilize the town board requisitions and the perfect salvage system to make the process even easier. Happy crafting!
